Overview

Our most common length of stay is Sunday to Saturday. You’ll take the 4:30pm flight, Sunday from Anchorage to Iliamna. We’ll meet you at the airport, load your gear into our van and take a short drive to our sea plane. After the planes are loaded, we’ll skim across the lake and climb into the magnificent Alaskan air for our short flight to the Outpost. If you’ve never flown in a sea plane, this will be as exciting and memorable as any other moment of your stay with us.
When we pull up to the dock, you’ll be meet by our amazing guides. We’ll drop your gear in your rooms and acquaint you with some of our very basic rules – like don’t feed the bears. Your first evening will be spent relaxing, getting to know your guides and preparing for an amazing week of fishing. You’ll enjoy dinner, a few drinks and lots of laughs while taking in some of the most beautiful views anywhere in the world.
Every morning starts with breakfast at 7am. You’re in a boat or plane by 8am and off to your first location. Lunch will be served around 12pm on the water. And you’ll return to the Lodge by 5pm for Happy Hour. Dinner starts at 6pm. The rest of the night is yours to enjoy drinks, the wood burning wet Sauna, watch the amazing sunsets and tell the best fish stories of your entire life.
For most packages, Saturday is the last day of your experience. We’ll fish through mid-day then fly back to Iliamna Saturday afternoon for your return flights back to Anchorage. Although this will be the end of your stay, by no means is this good-bye. The Outpost at Intricate Bay never leaves you.

Do It Yourself Float Trips

The perfect opportunity to enjoy a week-long float trip with a friend, through the wilderness while accessing hard to reach, world-class fisheries. Camping gear, rafting gear, food supplies and transportation are included. All you have to do is show up with your favorite rod and warm sleeping bag and be ready to rough it! Minimum 2 guests, max 6.
